any AE86 for sale?
mux213 Wrote:Robotype,

You'll find that alot nowadays, hatchbacks are in high demand, you really have to be quick to get them even then there is the chance of being outbid.

You either need to be lucky and find one for sale in some place nobody is looking, or fastSmile

Coupe's on the other hand.............Smile

If 2 doors are readily available, I'd just get a 2 door since they are slightly lighter and a little more rigid in the rear portion of the monocoque than the 3 door.

I think a 3 door looks a lot nicer, but AE86's are about driving not posing.

WTF? 2600E for that thing?
If i was you i'd save up and buy a proper one. This one already complains about rust in the rear area, no telling how it will look around the boot and petrol tank.

You'll have to brush up on your Portugese somewhat, but they definately have the best conserved hachi's in Europe. Prices are somewhat steep though.

The guy from the blue AE86 complains alot about its huge oilconsumption.

Pretty strange for a Toyota Big Grin

But when whe saw the car @ a meeting we know why.
He's overrevving his engine, just after he started it Undecided

Even a 4A-GE can consume some oil then Smile

Price is not interesting and if it burns too much oil the problem could be serious. Also I prefer the 3door definitely so I will extend my patience like I did in the last 5 years...do they have 3doors Levins in Portugal or which other models? No Truenos around in Europe?

I'm sorry, I did not read it well, just saw the ad and thought of Robotype...

Anyway, if I look at the dashboard picture (attached) with the TF&TF sticker I can only picture a specific type of driver who drives this car, and with that in mind the oil consumption must be explainable. Big Grin

I've seen that car in real life once, he did some very noughty things to it (got rice?). Also I'm no fan of the color. Somehow I do understand why he asks so much money for it. You buy these cars for too much money to begin with (well...most people do) and spend multiples of that getting and keeping it in good shape. Then comes the time to sell and what looks to you as a cool and rare car looks like a POS to others. I wouldnt sell mine for under 2000 either, I've spent so much on it already and it still looks like shit (when you look closely).
