been sitting all winter. still won't start. help
ugh, not quite i guess.
went out to start it again to let it warm up for a while. turned it over, fired fine. then accidentally tapped the throttle, stalled. and now my fuel pump isn't working again. (it'll make a whirring noise when in acc) replaced all fuses that i did before again, still nothing. could i have flooded it and could there be a sensor that won't let the pump work until it's cleared? |

Check your AFM flapper is not stuck in the fully closed position. It has
to move when you are cranking, to open a switch. That switch turns the fuel pump on. With the ignition on, your should hear the pump start if you poke the flapper with your finger. Cheers... jondee86 |

Nope... no factory airbox, no AFM and no flapper !!!
Maybe the fuel pump is switched by the Circuit Opening Relay, just as it was with the original GTS engine ? But I don't know what ECU you are running or how your car is wired. If it worked last year, and you have actually had it running, it is just a case of back tracking the fuel pump power circuit until you find a loose connection, short or broken wire. yeah it was running after i changed all the fuses. and stopped working a few starts after. it's running a blacktop ECU on a 1st gen silvertop. you can hear the fuel pump prime in acc when its working and it stopped priming after a few starts. so i think i'm just gonna take a volt meter to the connection to the fuel pump. if there's power, then its the pump. if not, then its the wiring.

btw, the open circuit relay is bypassed. i tested for voltage at the pump harness and it reads 12v strong so i guess i need a new fuel pump.

so....it wasnt the pump. one of the ground broke off the assembly. so i rewired everything. tested it with the pump in the tank. worked. put the tank back on. put gas back in it, doesnt work anymore.
any ideas? |

So it was a combination of ground, fuses and fuel pump?
