brake caliper/line fitting
OEM hoses look like this ^^^ and the male end just screws straight into the OEM caliper. The female end connects straight to the captive fitting on the end of the brake hard line. Maybe someone has changed the calipers on your car to another brand, and needed to adapt the hoses to fit ? Cheers... jondee86 |

The end fitting should be a one-piece item, swaged onto the end of
the hose. Like this... If it came apart, you either broke it, or it was a non-OEM hose made with screw together fittings (and I wouldn't trust my life to that kind of DIY brake hose). Cheers... jondee86 |

Eifelaner, are you talking about the hoses (flexible) or the hardline ?
(master cylinder -> hardline -> hose -> caliper) The hardline have fitting like this on both side: But there is no adapter anywhere on the whole brake system. |

Eifelaner Wrote:i got aftermarket braided lines on the car since i got it,This is most likely the answer. If the aftermarket lines did not have the right fittings on the end, whoever put them on installed the adapter to match them up. If you need to replace the adapter, you need to talk with a specialist brake shop, and see what they have on the shelf. Cheers... jondee86 |

DO NOT buy Black Diamond lines. They screwed my calipers by putting the wrong fitting on the calipers end of the line.
Then got $/)$"@ about by Fensport big time. By far the worst experience I have had with a supplier in 30 years. |
