brown liquid
back from the week-end trip about 200 km on the highway when I arrived home I heard liquid dripping from the engine, further inspection result in a leak under the intake:

after I stop the engine it kept spitting from the leak for 10 minutes infact 1.5 liters of water was missing but what worries me the most is the color of what came out:

but the water in the reservoir is clear though...

Looks like typical cooling fluid to me. It can look a bit milky if its just been squirted out of something, heated and mixed with oxygen.

I would try ordering a new gasket for that coolant line and see if you have any other problems.

Definately coolant, I have a puddle just the same Huh
Before you change the gasket check that it is not just the rubber pipe leaking and spraying coolant upwards.

that's unfortunately rather common on old engines like ours - over the years the lines inside the engine start to build some oxidation and rust... your radiator and water pump probably lookt the same... I have replaced my radiator early this year as the old one split and at the same time flushed the whole system with a pressure washer as good as possible and also replaced the tubes that go from the radiator to engine and back as these also had brown residue inside there walls...

that's good to know though, I was thinking oil...
my rad was replaced 100k ago and engine was rebuilt and ran great for 60k, has always been eating some oil but not much so I wasn't worried until today but the sight of that mud spraying out made me quite anxious. so first thing replace gasket and see what happens...thanks!!
