lochun Wrote:good choice with roof. you going to cut a piece of white roof in size of the hole in your car o something else?? I am going to replace the whole skin. Redid the rear fender today. Managed to get it right this time I even had time to start on some other rust areas cleaned, treated with acid, painted and welded Had some plates welded in as well but I forgot to take some pics. Will do this soon Philip |

hopefully it will
Well I have the other side of the front strut tower left, spot weld the engine bay, swap roof skin, tap a hole in one of the roof pillars, front fenders (probably going to keep them old school steel widened), some kind of half cage. I am also thinking of equal length 4 link, but I'll think I'll leave that for later. ...and of course the shitty work, making the visual body panels straight. Philip |

Do the plates, don't just spot weld.
lochun Wrote:daytona, how much hachis you have?? I have 6. All cars in Poland are generally stuffed from winter/salt. So there is no difference between an AE86 or a xE7x. If some one bought a CE70 corolla, and had it rust protected back in 83 or something, and kept it in their garage all week, and only drove it to church on sundays (like many old Poles do) then you would be able to get one in perfect conditionl. I have one that was garaged for many years, which has very little rust, it would have to be one of the best I have seen. Always remember: Rev it till it blows, then back off a bit...
