change gear drive in gearbox, but i don't know if you can get one for an aftermarket R&P

alimonos, i'm studying it...

I've searched in EPC for old RWD Toyotas with a final gear ratio close to 4.778 and i found one that it's close (i can't remember the model).

My idea is to order the pinion and gear from the gearbox of that model and try to install in my T50.

My two main doubts is to know if it will fit T50 and if those parts are still available from Toyota Dealers.

I hope i could help you...

ok.

In your gearbox is a plastic wheel, which rotates on the outputshaft.
It comes together with the R&P, but if you buy a new R&P the wheel isn't there.

as you see, there are 2 types, one with 22 teeth and one with 19 teeth.

i *think* that you have the 19 teeth version now, and probably need the 22 teeth version, but you have to check out which one you've got, it's on the plastic wheel, somewhere Smile

oh, and please BE SURE TO REPLACE EVERY SEAL YOU SEE IN THE SPEEDO GEAR DRIVE SET!!!!! (yes, it's ment to be in caps Tongue).

I once destroyed a box due to a leaking speedodriveseal, didn't knew it was leaking and drove 300 kms without oil in the box. Needless to say it didn't like that Big Grin

the part number you see, should be the kit with some new seals Smile

And if it's not, this is the number for the seal:

90310-09001
