Dunne know, I'm no expert in it. Are you using internet explorer or firefox?

I was redirected this morning when I accessed the forum to some weird hackers page, often those pages contain trojans and the sorts.

alimonos,

Ah our favorite IESmile

Give http://www.safer-networking.org/ a try, spybot is a free checker for spyware, addware and certain browser installed trojans.

Probably, but I didn't find a vurnability which would apply here... Undecided

It's still puzzles me. Confused

Mux213 Wrote:Some idiot got into our php stuff and made sure that when you got onto the forum, you got redirected to some hackers page. Assholes..
Euh, don't think it was php to blame though. Probably phpbb, not php itself. And all they did was change the name of the first subforum, the name of the forum itself (both contained javascript to redirect the users) and banned the admin account. They didn't even change the admin password, or anything else. So it puzzles me what purpose this served? Dumb question

It runs on Gentoo and ofcourse I got root: I'm the admin. Tongue

Traced all possible risc factors noted on the phpbb site and found two critical problems which I thought I had solved already, but apprently didn't: perhaps during server transfer copied some wrong files. Blush
So applied the patches and hopefully thats it. Smile
