Yellow Koni's adjust at the top. Only the red ones adjust like that.

Kristian when will you be arriving and leaving Holland? A free ticket is nice, but gas&food/drinks are like 35 EUro's in total. That's a lot for something like that if you don't have a job. Maybe I can get a ride, but I can't say for sure.

Aico.. Yellow KONI´s rear´s are adjusted by loosening the shock & turning it as i have understood.

Will arrive Arnhem about 10-o-klock friday - leave for hom again directly after the show on saturday night.

I´hoping to get the organizers positive reply on my question to them about getting all you AEU86 guys
into the arena on the friday to watch the practice sessions.

aico,

Front konis for the AE86 are definately NOT adjustable from the top. KONI has about 4 or 5 different adjustments they use throughout their line of yellow shocks and a few of those is adjustable on car.

I'm pretty sure I have to take the front shocks out to adjust them. Because they are inserted into the strut casing the little thingy that you adjust them with is inside it. I have to take the strut casing appart. I have to do that anyways when I install my new springs.

Rear shocks I think are the compress and rotate ones, also looks that way from the scans from kristian. I will try that out when I have to take the rear axle out from unther my car when swapping in the other axle.

If money allows though I am going to get some fully adjustable shocks that I can adjust from the top some day. I dont like this setup very much.

Mux, the adjustment on the fronts should be possible to do from the topmount I think. Have you taken a peek under the plastic caps there?...I think the dial for adjustment is supposed to go there..

You can't use HTML in signatures. Fixed it with the IMG tag. Smile

AE92 - front koni's are adjustable from the top mount with small dial, these are used for short stroke conversion, like i did
AE86 - front koni's, you have to open the strut to adjust the valve

Rear are compres, twist and adjust type.

Simple as that.

Guys, don't ignore zax now before he really gets mad at usSmile He's the only one of us who's actually DONE THIS STUFFSmile

And trust me, I believe him totally, I've gone over every visible inch of the shocks on my car in an attempt to figure out how to adjust them. They are NOT adjustable on car.

I gottah get me some AE92 shocks for the front...

Okay, so I'm guessing that Kristian got the ae92 koni's as well?...
I saw the adjustment dial in one if his boxes in the pics, that's why I thought it would work for ae86 shocks.
