mintwex 1193 pads ...too small
Hi All,

Have you guys notished that teh front mintex pads are about 5mm to narrow,
So that they dont reach the egde of the disk?

there must be a great deal of brake power that is lost there?

Hey Denmark,

I would think that most brake pads leave a little bit of space but you are right that the Mintex pads are smaller, at least compared to the OEM or similar pads I have seen.

Still one has to keep in mind that 1193 wasn't made for the Hachi but made for the Diahatsu Charmant which shares alot of components with the Hachi.
1330 (if memory serves me correctly) are the proper pads for the Hachi, but they are only made in 1144 compound to order and that seems to be expensive, at least so my supplier has told me.

I am thinking about getting a 1330 normal compound pad next time I order just to see if they fit good and if they are significantly different from the 1193 pads. If business goes well for the mintex pads maybe at some point in time getting 1330's made with 1144 compound may be viable.
