does anyone have any info on the sort of gauges that would have been used around the time the ae86 were being made?

pics would be even better if you have any,i want to put some decent instruments in but i dont want to use new style gauges that stick out like a sore thumb

many thanks

i think (Siemens) VDO gauges are the best choice.. they have been making gauges for many sportscars in the 80ies including porsches etc.. Their classic line (cockpit vision i think its called) is superb for a hachiroku. imo.

I'm using Westach gauges.

There's a distributor in the UK, with very friendly service, they will make teoretically every pairs out of their "dual" range. EGT/AFR and oil temp/water temp in my car:

Paid 120 pounds shipping and sensors (EGT K-type as well!) included for the two duals in '05. The size is 2 1/4", so it will fit into the center console. I guess the angles can be done with any DIN holder.

They would have used the TRD gauges because they had those during that time. If net I woudl use the VDO gauges found in the VW and BMW cars.
