pinion adjustment
Gentlemen I thank you for your patience.
I have decided instead to adjust the top arms as this appears to be the correct way to do it and 4mm should bring the propshaft straight with the pinion at the moment the pinion is facing down.
I will start with it straight and go from there unless anyone has any suggestions, remembering that it is a single piece prop. and seems prone to vibration.

I have a question.
Can this problem be solved with traction brackets?

You know that you don't necessarily want the pinion level right? Just parallel to the gearbox output shaft (more or less).

You really need to read up on pinion/U-joint angles before you start adjusting things. If you haven't already that is.

Traction brackets shouldn't do much for pinion angle...but I could imagine them having some kind of influence.

Yes there is a good article on club 4age about pinion angles although I think some people confuse pinion angle and axle bracket angle when they are discussing traction and pinion angle.

You do NOT want to put the driveshaft 'inline' with the pinion angle. That's a good way to destroy your u-joints.

You want the pinion angle parallel with the engine/transmission angle.

Thanks for trying.
I can't see this getting any better.
