suspension / coiloverset up -> ?? Good / "best"

Due to the fact that the XYZ Coilovers groupbuy are canceld.. (not enough buyers) I am searching for something new...

I want to have: a good quality set up,
* in witch I can variate in ride hight, with posibility to go low..
* damping set up adjustable
* adjustable front caster/ camber.

I often see "handmade" setups pass by.

and sometime a nice (like greddy) complete plug and play kit.

But the greddy kit is a bit too expensive to me, and I know that it is possible to get a nice setup unther/ around the € 1000,- I do not want to spend that mutch money on this one..

But I have no experience with all the brand suited to create a setup with..

During the 'limburg meeting" Robokill told that Oldschools setup was just great..

But I cant find mutch about that..

So would like to hear about the possibilities on this one..

I bought mine (if I am not mistake) for about €700++ (got some discount because they are on sale at that time) shipped from Finland. But the coiloverset are made from somewhere in asia. Its a same set as Megan coiloverset. Only the name are different. Mine is BC-Racing. You just need to cut your old front struts and weld it in your new front struts. And the rear set are plug in and ready.

Finland is een redelijk goede plek om te gaan zoeken want het is in de EU en er wordt veel gerally'ed met RWD spul. Als je op google.fi naar coiloverit gaat zoeken vindt je vast wel meer.

can you weld?

DIY, get yourself a nice shortstroke damper (Tokico HTS for instance), cut your struttubes and reweld them.
Go to http://www.rallydesign.co.uk and buy the Escort coilover conversion kit (i/d of the threaded bit is the same) and some springs of your wanted springrate and length.
Weld it on.

The rallydesign kit is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY cheaper then the T3 setup, the only downside is, that you get a spring top mount for an Escort, which doesn't fit, but you only have to drill the hole a bit bigger and you're set .

Maybe the quality isn't as good as the T3 kit, but when you have your ride height set and your setup is good, the springs won't sit loose anyway, so you won't have to do something for the APK to make it legal. and if you spray some oil on the threads every now and then, you keep it clean too.
