Hello fellow 86'ers, it's been awhile and it does seem like the community is a lot smaller than what it use to be. Nevertheless, we are still here and and hopefully enjoying this nearing 40 year old car.

It has been awhile since my last post but I would like start sharing my projects on this car again.

The name for this project is yumcha86. It is a representation of the Chinese weekend tradition where you go out to eat and you pick and choose the parts you like, other times you have to eat what other people pick for you - just like the parts I have in this car.

I'm not sure if this is worthy of being a project but there are small little projects I have in mind for my last 86 i'll be owning...enough rambling.

All important cup holder: (fits nicely under the stereo) though I have to make some cover for the gap below it sometime.

What happened to your SR powered hachi? Did that ever happen?

Unfortunately I had to let go of that idea. I had all the parts ready to go but I moved from a 4 car to a 2 car garage so ran out of room for crazy projects

Decided to install my ebay radiator since i'm waiting on other materials to finish my other jobs. Stock radiator served me well but am somewhat reluctant to keep it in service due to age of the end tanks. And these radiators are so cheap...

Not really happy with factory bracket and fit...


...so took some spare SS tubing which I rolled out.


Will need bit more ribs or reforcement, but it'll do for now


Finally found a use for that hardened Sikaflex. Used a series of hole saws on it to cutout a bushing for the bracket.


Bushing shape is retained and matches nicely with the bracket;


Now i need a new tube pf sikaflex so I can glue it on and let it rest cure for another 5+ years time.

What to do when you are in lock-down...lets remove the cam cover!
