Hello.

Thank you all for your comments, much appreciated.

Robokill
I don't know what you mean by standard, but I've used Dinitrol 4941, which should do the job for me. When it dries the surface becomes hard but elastic. Even though I'm not driving the car in the winter or in very bad weather. I have removed the standard "padding" to take the beating from stones flying in the inner wings.

I realy can't decide if I should go for a light coating of clear waxy coating for the complete underside of the car... I think for now I'll drive it without, and if my paintjob doesn't quite do it, I can always repaint and then apply the coating. I REALLY hate working on a car with that black nasty stuff everywhere.

I've put a considerable amount of hours into the car the past few weeks, I've installed my alarm, the dashboard, master brakecylinder, my master clutchcylinder, the rear bumper, all the wiring (except engine harness). + a bit more I can't remember Smile

Here is a couple of pictures of the progress.

Hi.

Thank you guys.

No need for color code secrecy - I'm only happy that people also think it is a nice color.

It is an original BMW color, and the name is sepang bronze metal. I don't have the code, it isn't really necessary. Just go and ask your local BMW pusher.

hehe, sorry about that Gtsi-R. But you should look forward to seeing it IRL. It really looks nice.

I'll be posting new pictures from the project tomorrow.

Just a little update.

I've been putting a lot of work into the car, and I think I'm heading for a REALLY nice Christmas. It is possible to get the engine up and running before the 24th.

I've spent a lot of time putting the dash back together, with my new gauges and the new alarm. But as usual, I have taken pictures, so you can have a look.
