Going 20V BT!

Yes... don't get me wrong... I have nothing against COP's. They are a
great solution to tidying up the engine, but only if they are used with a
standalone ECU. With a standalone you can run sequential ignition
and the COP's are controlled as they would be in an OEM installation.

What I don't like is the half-assed method of running them off the factory
ECU. It is an ugly makeshift electrical detail, and causes a lot of problems
when done by people who don't take the time to do a decent job.

Putting the dissy on the front of the engine is not exactly a factory look Smile
But if you paint the shiney parts black, use black ignition wires, and trim
the front cover neatly, it will look pretty good on a BT Thumbs up!

Cheers... jondee86

The only COP + OEM ecu solution that looked anywhere near thought through that I've seen in those 20v threads on club4ag included a 'half-moon' disc run off the crank (or was it cam) that was used to create a signal for selecting which (2)coils to fire, essentiallt making it a DIY wasted spark setup. Jondee is right, firing them all together is very very stupid.

Re-opening the topic....

Finally moving to 20V BT!

Stock engine, stock ECU and basically no changes whatsoever.....

The only thing i want is the RWD water route!

One question, for those who know, is it possible to run the 20V alternator, using the 16V alterator braket and the RWD water route?

regards

More like 145-150. I rebuilt a blacktop recently, lightened flywheel, pullies, trumpets, obx manifold and managed by an omex 600. It made 168bhp.

Same here, had 2 standard (just open trumpets) blacktops on emerald and omex and got 159hp an 157hp out of them...
