AEU86 theme creation volunteers

Hello AEU86.org community,

to help banpei out with getting the new forum up to speed we decided to help him out by trying to create a custom theme for the forum.

To do this in a safe way, I created an instance of MyBB (currently used forum software) on my own sever. I will dublicate AEU86.org without content so we can work on it's styling without influencing the regular forum.

Volunteers shall post in this thread with their desire to help out (idealy with stating a bit of there background so I can get a better picture).

I will then get in touch with the volunteers and supply them with login information incl. adminstration rights and ftp access to the coresponding server folder.

Personally I would like to find some volunteers with good Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks or InDesign skills and/or coders who are familiar with PHP and HTML5.

So let the improving begin, the server is already set up and I'll add the current theme of AEU86.org in the next days among others.

I would like to help but I dont know where I would start. I did this kind of thing before and it about 10years now I left all this thing behind me. I might doing some photoshop thing. maybe logo... just let me know if you need any help.

first link point's to the thread where the download link is broken but I found it anyway.

second link refuses to install due to a security issue.

anyway I installed the theme from the first link on my test forum - volunteers with access will be able to switch between the different themes.

if you want I'll send you the login informations, just send me your email by PM, that way you can check what's going on from time to time and chime in any help you can provide.

Mind you I'm far from an IT specialist myself - I regard myself rather as a hardcore user. I have no relevant coding or design experience but I do what I can to help provide some infrastructure and learn while I'm at it

Learning new languages (that includes coding) is difficult at my age to say the least and the little capability I have left I'd rather invest in Japanese

Also like I mentioned in the other topic, I'm busy with other stuff I'm working on right now but I will check in every once in a while - who needs sleep anyway

Last time I did the templates for the old forum was 2006, so my skills are almost as rusty as yours.

I received the details from Bean and I'll make the necessary exports today.

I also tried finding the photoshop file for the phpbb template but haven't found it yet. Need to dig deeper into my archives... It is a bit like this:

And I'm no where near the bottom yet.

Never coded anything with php, but as a programmer maybe i can help somehow
