16V vs BEAMS

But as someone said in comments, 25%+ ccm must show

Note the BEAMS car only really pulls on the 16V in 2nd, and/or 3rd, and higher...(huge assumption) - similar peak hp... but the extra volume (cc's) provides more torque throughout the entire rpm band.... this becomes more obvious as the gears are rowed

Obviously a high performance 2.0 should be able to beat even a highly tuned 1.6. The BEAMS owner claims 230hp and 230nm on a stock engine with ITB's and a costum tune...

My own experience is that he really starts pulling on me in 3rd. Further more, he doesn't hit the gas until I do so that give me a little head start.

Hi Pack

Found an old picture that shows the essence of the swap. The in/out-put splines are different so I am running a LiteAce clutch friction plate. You can find AZ6's with the clutch release lever on either side.

Now we need Beams vs F20C.
I think I know which would win tbh, despite VTec. The Beams just has bags more torque.

With the same gearing ratios, you may get a tiny advantage by being able to rev so high with the F20, shift later, but the torque of the Beams would just pull on you.
