Project from Denmark
Time for some more work, this time I am working on the left rear side.
First I spent some time removing the old Rear quarter panel, took some extra time due to the old rust work I had done (solid welded it) But of it came, took the outer piece of the inner fender of too... ![]() ![]() A while back, I found a brand new outer piece of the inner fender ![]() ![]() The rear pocket needs some work, in order to become hole again. Got this cut from another car, its almost complete, and will make the fix much easier. ![]() ![]() Here I have cut out the rotten parts, and fitted the restored shell cut. ![]() After a bit of welding and grinding, the rear pocket is complete again. ![]() Restoring my AE86, all the way... A bit more rust work done
![]() Was not quite finished with the rear pocket, forgot all about this small piece, that needed some work. ![]() After a bit work, it was ready to be put back on the car. ![]() When I cleaned the inside of the car, I noticed some rust along the inner wheel house, so took of the reinforced plates to have closer look. And it was a pretty site ![]() ![]() After a good cleaning, I could see the parts that needed to be cut out, in order to remove all the bad metal. ![]() Replaced the missing parts, with some fresh metal. ![]() After some welding and grinding, the reinforcement plates where back on the car again. ![]() Now there are no more rust, that hinders me from putting back some of the new body panels I have, can't wait ![]() Restoring my AE86, all the way...
