Pretty good but the price here is around 12.000 euros, plus you need some money for a good turbo service...

Ok... abit more reaserch. lets say I get a BMW 320 i "touring" (whatever that is suposed to mean) I first have to pay 3000 € to get a car that has like 195.000km on its clock, but is in almost acceptable condition, then I ahve to pay 1000€ just in incurance. And then comes the taxes...... Banging head (aprox. 150€)

and then comes the MOT every second year, wich cost 125€ and then I have to do soem repairs to get it through.... thats another 100€....
and what if I weant to do some modifications to the car..? I'll probably use 500€ easy!

well anyhow, its still alot cheaper than a hachi... Tongue

A BMW 320i goes for around 300-500E here. The amount you mention must be for a E36 series.

Other then that...driving a car is always expensive, no matter how much we would like to forget it.
Even the "budget" volvo goes through money faster then any girlfriend I have ever had...

Damn, then you must have had some cheap GFs! Big Grin
Can't imagine my GF costing less than your 360. Wink

Hmmm, perhaps the Silvia S12 has been sold in Norway? The FJ20 did come with LSD installed. Heard some guy complain when he moved from a S12 to a PRS13 he was surprised he couldn't make his new car go sideways easialy anymore eventhough his new car had a few more horses. Tongue

Then again: the FJ20 is an oil-guzzler. Undecided

..... well ok I am not kidding I have to pay 3000€ for a 320i ....

But you can get lucky and find cars like this:

-------------------------

BMW 3-serie 323i 1983, 196000 km., kr. 23.000,- (aprox. 3000€)

new paint aug-04
original inline 6 engine
jamex 45mm lowering set
KN filter
16" alu rims
Recaro sportseats
White signal lights
exhaust changed
and div other parts changed recently.....

---------------------------------------------------

Now this seems quite nice, but I wonder why this guys ells his car if he just fixed it up, and why for sucha low price when you have to give the same for a much worse conditioned peice... I think somthing isent right here.

oh and BTW... can you guys breif me on nissan history and names here.... ?
the 200SX is that what you call a Silvia? then I only see s13 and s14 for sale, but might still be some left around.... what year was the s12 made? when did they change to s13?

oh, and yes a S13 1,8L turbo with 110.000km on the clock costs: 12.000€

every country has a few rwd cars that are the way to cheap, afordable rwd fun. in japan it was 86, silvias.. here in slovenia for instance E30 320i can be had very cheaply. one was sold for 60 eur last week, w/ a working engine! and engines can be swapped easily.. just find whats the cheapest. but bimmers are cool becouse lsd can be obtained for a little less money..

Maybe old Fiats - 124, 131, 132, Argenta ?
Some of them use 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 DOHC engines - 100-130hp range, they have solid rear axle (like AE86) also.

yeah, nice to get help from you guys Smile sometimes you just need other peoples input to get oyur own mind rolling (or drifting if you like  )

Hopefully I will get my economy back on its feet this summer, and then I can start going on the car market. That KE70 sounds realy intresting though Thumbs up!

And as you guys may realise, a car is expensive no matter where you live... but here in Norway you have to add 50% to what you guys call expensive.....
Most kids buy cars for 12-15.000€ when they turn 18 here.... (Golfs, Audi and BMW )
