Tec-Arts posted a video of the car with the digital display on Youtube:

It's a customer car which they completely overhauled. Apparently, there was some damage to the car, so they replaced the rear quarter panel with the newly made panels, the roof with an Impulse carbon roof and under the bonnet a 7AGE 20 valve engine! Yummie!

Oh, and I learned something new today from this video! Hurray!
I always assumed the zenki and kouki featured the exact same digital gauge cluster. Apparently, they were not. Can you spot the difference? Big Grin

They could probably sell that to even more people if they include the gauges for the AW11 and AE82. Hell, there's probably someone out there who would love to see the Levin Lime gauge on there too.

It's cool, and it offers lots of useful possibilities (especially for more modified cars), but I prefer the look of real analog gauges over a display any day.
If it's not specifically designed for automotive use you have to wonder how it performs on glare and brightness.

Whilst we're on the subject of GT86es, I also happened to observe this during the weekend before Christmas:

I literally saw the owner park up the GT86 on this spot and walk away to do some errands. I decided to make a photo of the car and cross the road to take another one. Before I actually could take the second photo, this happened:

Apparently the owner didn't have a disabled drivers permit. Banging head

In case you wonder how these two were able to be present not longer than 1 minute after the violation happened, that's because their HQ is located only 30 metres away. They probably observed it happening and decided to immediately take action. And I don't mean warning the owner, but immediately fine him. Big Grin

And yes, there are 86 owners around that do have a permit. Livelaughlevin has a permit and he suffers from the prejudice that an 86 owner can't legally park on a disabled persons parking space.

i came across this reddit post a while back, it always cracks me up Big Grin... I once got a call from the police as the university security called them about a fake handicapped permit being used on uni grounds.... Strangely I never heard from the university security again after i showed it was legit Banging head.

Some of those comments are quite funny!

If Watanabe's are rare, then they must be Konig Rewinds! Banging head
Actually, it's the other way around... It used to be the case that Japanese wheels were stupidly difficult to obtain and a set of Wats cost a small fortune. Hence we bought the "cheaper" Konig Rewinds. But the number of Wats on the market today outnumber the Rewinds. And finally, the wheels in question are Black Racing and even rarer than Wats!
