WILDER CAMS SETTINGS????
The idle air adjusting screw is a small black thingy on the front left strut tower. (behind the fusebox). You can take out the rubber cap and find a screw underneath. I dont know if it will help you out but it's worth a shot.
If none of that helps you can also adjust the throttle cable to stay opened a little, but that is a bit sloppy. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

WILDER CAMS SETTINGS????
I tried the idle air adjusting screw already. It's the small black thing we use to adjust the CO emissions right?
I tried that but no use... If i play with throttle cable isn't that going to make a problem to the TPS? Anybody knows about settings in APEXi SAFC-II? The type of sensor for us is "pressure" and then we put the value "03" in both IN and OUT settings? If i set -45% in LO-THROTTLE @ 1000RPM the engine is more functional between 1500-3500rpm. How about the other settings for HI_THROTTLE @ various rpms? AE86 FANATIC!!! |

WILDER CAMS SETTINGS????
I cant help you with that, dont know anything about the apexi.
I have been reading the experiences of the previous owner of your kamikazee cams, he had the exact same problems. I suggest you contact the supplier and ask if they can give you some advice (ted's components in canada). 262 cams really arent that extreme, so there must be a way to get them working in your setup. Another option that I would certainly try is to send Bill Sherwood a PM, he has done about everything you can imagine to 4a-ge's so he might be able to help out. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

have you got the instructions for the apexi, i can email an english copy if it will help. Its just alters the fuelling though, not likey to be the root of the problem, that will be the cams. Interested what you find though, i have a 264 8.1 waiting for my car and a apexi to help get the fuelling right. |

WILDER CAMS SETTINGS????
hmmz what you could try is to open the tps air screw around 1600 rpm. Than get a good fuel mixture (maybe to much) and fine tune it. The screw with the co sensorsment is far more than just a screw. Its really a pain in the ass it works by MM. I spend several hours adjusting the little bugger.
And i would advise if you use toyota standard stuff. remove the apexi when doing it. It could mess up settings. so first remove apexi than go adjusting stuff. WILDER CAMS SETTINGS????
Robokill when u say "open the tps air screw" u mean the screw that adjusts the throttle cable? If i change it wouldn't that change the TPS settings? What should i do in that case?
When u say remove APEXi u mean just unplug it or should i change the whole wiring and make it as it was? THanks guys. AE86 FANATIC!!! |
