Sensor behind 4th cylinder?
There is a sensor at the back of engine (behind 4th cylinder) connected with two vacuum hoses.
I’m not sure what is the function of this sensor. Can somebody explain me the function of this sensor? Fun is not the straight line! |

Sensor behind 4th cylinder?
That's an exhaust gas recirculation pipe. I think I have that little thingy left from my ae92 engine too.

Sensor behind 4th cylinder?
Yes, it’s an EGR pipe. Engine is from AE92 fwd (with TWIS and AFM). But I don’t understand the function of this sensor near pipe. It has something to do with temperature, maybe? I try to find it in 4AGE manual, but there is nothing about this sensor.

Sensor behind 4th cylinder?
I took off everything that was different from the ae86 engine before installing my ae92 engine. How did you get the EGR pipe to fit the ae86 exhaust manifold? Or did it come with EGR from the factory?
You could try looking up the ae92 gti in EPC and find the part in the engine and drivetrain section, there you should be able to find a short description. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Or did it come with EGR from the factory? I bought it like that. Ex owner replaced the engine from AE92, so I’m not introduced with all details. I will check those EGR pipes and take a few pictures. So, you took out everything what is different from regular AE86. Did you have this sensor at the back? Fun is not the straight line! |
