One 350z blown his engine in front of my eyes.
Still like more 350z over RX8. Ian, congratulations. Great car (s). Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |

Don't worry Zax - my love for the corolla has not gone away - in fact my brother and I spent all day on sunday fitting up most of the new bits - see the 'new bits for hachi thread' - it gets better all the time

There's not a lot wrong with a 350Z. Of the few I've driven, they're pretty impressive. Could use more power, but as standard they're a great package. The engines are fairly tunable too on the JDM market.
JUN got 800 bhp from their's (Albeit very heavily modified internally with a T88 tubby). I prefer an RX-7 as a quick coupe of the same size, but I plan to do it the opposite way to you Ian... 'Rolla as daily drive transport and weekend drifter and the RX-7 for going very quickly road or track. Below are a couple of pics of my Rex which has so far taken 4 years to build from a standard car: VISIT OUR NEW WEBSITES!!!! Hi m8,
that FD is lovely The problem I have is I need a car with a warranty so I can go shout at somebody when it breaks down. The zed wont get much abuse as its mainly a road car. I've taken the back to basics approach and sold my quick westi so the hachi will be a drift and track car now. It will be interesting to see how long I can last driving a car that doesn't have 450bhp/tonne LOL. The fun now isnt the quest for power and straight line speed - now its about me making the most out of what little power I have - hopefully now I can improve the driver instead of just throwing money at making the car quicker. Regards Ian. |

Hi Ian,
Guess the 350Z makes sense. A good choice! I'm sure you're happy with it. Better than an RX-8 too IMHO (Drove one for a day once, felt like a well sorted family car, that's all). I just read the J-Tuner feature on your 'Rolla. Looks a good example The AE86 is a lot of fun for sure...even as near standard, they're a hoot to drive. The whole reason I went back to an AE86 is because of the engine and handling, but it's all kinda gone out of the window and it's now become a pretty serious one... Shame I can't get a warranty for my cars in Japan, but hell, if it breaks, it's a good time to upgrade further. RX-7 started out as a daily driver, but after becoming too modified, stopped being used as a hack...Hopefully I'll not relegate the AE86 to being a special occasions only car though...
