Migrating to the new server: 6 november (next sunday)
The new server has been racked: Hurray!

It is the bottom one (the puny server) but believe me: it is strong enough to match the one above it (not in diskspace though). Wink

I'll start moving stuff next sunday afternoon. Sunday is always the quiet day of the week and most of you are (ofcourse) out driving your hachis. Big Grin

There will probably be an outage of about half a day, but that depends on the dns of your provider. I'll also put an announcement on the old server how to bypass it. Smile

Bandwidth (100mbit connection and 50GB datatraffic), uninterupted power and almost impossible to loose the connection: they have a triangular network connected with 6 different providers.

In short everything is hopefully getting even more reliable..
It's already an impressive feat how reliable the site is at the moment (running from banpei's broomcloset), but he knows his stuff so I expect things to get even better.

I still find it amazing my broomcloset didn't catch fire yet: all that datatraffic must cause some heat. Big Grin
