bar under the car (@front)

A roommate of mine has a VW derby
He has a bar under his car, between the struts.

Is this for the ae86 also a good thing??
Or has it from fabric such thing?

Yes all our RWD cars have something like it called the crossmember.
So you dont need any weird bar on the bottom of the car...

You can probably get bars for every place you can bolt one on to. That doesnt make them necessary though. I think Mark was referring to the lower strutbars that many fwd cars can benefit from. I think that's because FWD cars dont have a crossmember between the struts to begin with. On any old rwd corolla there is a solid piece of metal that the front control arms are connected to, and where the motor mounts to on the bottom.
Placing an extra bar there is a bit silly if you ask me.
