Hungarian Drifters (the birth of drifting in Hungary)
Here in Croatia we have events:

06.05. Pula
20.05. Logatec ( Slovenia ) - about 40 km from Ljubljana
22.07.2006 Karlovac ( about 40 km from Zagreb )
09.09.2006 Šibenik ( at sea, between Zadar and Split , about 350 km from Zagreb )
30.09.2006 Novi Marof ( nearest Hungary, about 60 km from border towards Zagreb ) - ideal for all drifters from Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia. Track is great for drifting, with many curves, not too fast.

Our first drift event was on saturday and it was a very well organized, very good show! The event has a very positive reaction in the online media and it will have a few minutes in two TV channels too.

You can find some pictures about the event on the following links:

For now I found one good and two (let's say) amateur video too:
http://www.freshmindworkz.hu/drift.avi
http://video.racing.hu/files/1094/mov035...ing.hu.mpg - a few secs about the second place driver in a crappy bmw
http://video.racing.hu/files/1094/mov035...ing.hu.mpg - a bmw 325i with some power...
http://video.racing.hu/files/1094/mov035...ing.hu.mpg - practice rounds

Enjoy!

Since it is hungarian here comes the dictionary to it:
First and second column: name and #
3. and 4. blue column: first and second round (judge 1-2-3, lap 1-2, and corner entry speed in lap 1-2 - these are the eight red columns)
PONT means score, SEB. means speed, Összesen means total.
Autó means car, CM3 means engine size, LE means HP (horse power).

We tried to use the japanese rules, so when I spun in my first round I earned zero points with that. When somebody lefts the track with all the 4 wheels it also worth zero points.

I don't know what is he doing. It was not forbidden to have a co-driver but had no point of course. Maybe the balance of the car was better with two persons. In a hachi you can forget this balance thing because the lack of power... Smile

We changed the date of our next event from 25/26th August to 8th July. I hope there will be some international visitors there, that's why I keep you informed! Wink

Enjoy this video about the first Drift Day in Hungary!
