Doc's KE20: - really coming together now
And now, the following problem arrives.
and it sounds like this gearbox is pretty much broken It rattles in 1st, 3rd, 4th, reverse and in free. It's almost silent in 2nd. So my best guess it's the 2nd gear which causes the sound. And this also arrived today "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

nope, it's for 2T-B.
K-series manifold sits at an angle (because the engine is in an angle also). "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

I know that - that's why I wonder about the adapter...
Doc, do you have some documentation how to convert K-engine KE20 to T-engine TE27 ? |

no i haven't.
There aren't that many people who do it. In the USA, they allready have 2T/3T engines (almost no K-series). In Australia and New Zealand, they go crazy about k-series (supercharged 5k, turbocharged 7k etc. etc.). And in Japan, they just take a wrecked T-series car to swap all bits over . i know here in Holland someone swapped a 2T-B in to a KE20, but i didn't speak to that guy. And the one who owns the car now, can't tell anything about it. "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

The same way you swap any engine in there..a lot of fabrication...though using a T series crossmember will also work. Can be had new from yahoo japan sometimes for around 300 euro's or 2nd hand from US for around 200$.

NoHachi, if I have T-series crossmember + 2TG + T50 from TE-Corolla - can I just bolt-on them on KE-Corolla chassis ?

if you have one from a TE21/25/27 it should be a direct bolt in.

I just made the payment for this little baby!!!
It's a TRD 2 Way LSD, for a zenki KP61, i hope it will fit mine. It's a big risk i'm taking, but when it fits, it's worth the risk!!! "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |
