Aftermarket or used oil cooler ?
Dreja, just shortcut the oil cooler lines.
You don't need the oil cooler for easy driving until you fix it. BR ZaX Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |

Aftermarket or used oil cooler ?
firehawk
That’s the wrong way to install a cooler...... . The original sandwich plate is a "pressure valve", it means that only if you have excess pressure the oil goes trough the oil cooler, it is not a full flow sandwich plate. This is not good, because as your oil warms up the oil pressure goes down, and less oil goes trough the cooler.... |

gon Wrote:firehawk That’s the wrong way to install a cooler......I know. We were going to change it but then sold the car and built a new AE82. In the picture, the oil cooler is also upside down - with the hoses down, there's a possibility that some air will remain at the top of the cooler and it won't operate at full efficiency. The other way around, the cooler would sort of "bleed itself". |
