Aftermarket / Additional Foglights
Hello everyone!
I'm probably installing a pair of Toyota auto cover fog lights on my 86. Question is, is the wiring harness prepared for this or do I need to draw some extra lines from the dash / splice onto the high beams? What is the best way of connecting extra fog lights? Is there maybe even an extra switch that can be installed for this purpose? Regards Hans |

It depends how you wish to set them up. If you want to have them operate independently from your normal high beam/low beam you need to draw an extra line from the dash.
84hachi recently posted a video about his installment, including the partnumber of the Landcruiser switch he used for it: The switch itself his oriented horizontally, so perfect for usage in the AE86 dash panel next to the door. The partnumber for the switch is 84160-90K01 He got a general purpose relay+loom for ensure it is switched independently. You could get the same item from Amazon, but I'm sure it is much cheaper to get one from your local automotive partsstore. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

I bought a pre-made loom on ebay for my kouki fogs. I can switch them on without the headlights on. I took the lazy route but i'm sure that you could cook up something nicer if you take your time.

You can find them on Auctions Yahoo, but they will cost you an arm and a leg... 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
