250 is indeed a ripoff! I'd say ask in the future for a quote on how much it would cost in total and how long it will take. Otherwise you might get surprised like this.

Just tell him to pay you 200 quid because you lost a deal now. Someone wanted to buy your car for 500 pounds more than you asked for but since it took too long to finish off a simple repairment the guy lost interest. You suffer from this and now it's your loss, so obviously he should pay.

I hope you find a good solution.

This is what can really piss me of,
This is a 2hour job, and he will charge you that much for a job ,he has not done,
Well that was not going to happen with my car that´s for sure,
If you cant take care of it your self, you must surly know so people,that can go and get your car , without paying a single £.....

If it was me, he would be charge a fine that he could feel,and for sure he was going to pay

i would just go there
ask him for the keys nicely and tell him you will agree to a reasonable price
but that gouging you will not work

if he tells you to f off
walk outside and call the police
what will happen is you WILL get you car back when the cops show up
it will be up to him to file a suit agianst you if he wants his money

the car is yours, you should be able to leave with it anytime you want
thats how i see it

I finally got the car back yesterday but need a bit of help. The car will be up for sale as soon as I can spray the arch and tidy it up a little. I however dont have the paint code for the lower grey colour and was wondering if anyone knew it. Thanks in advance
