Doc's KE20: - really coming together now
Ah.. a familiar sight. I'd forgotten how badly that wheel was battered to death by mux, but you only need 2 anyway so you're in luck with that.

well, today i swapped the front struts with new brakes and stuff.
Pics will come later, when D.Wars uploads them. I must say: BIG thanks to Damir, Ivan, Dennis and Rico (not on this forum). Without them, it would've never happend i guess Now it's time to finish up some small things, something is scratching the disk when braking, and they feel a bit soft by now, need to re-bleed i think. But everything fitted very well, so it's a straight swap "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

Doc, if the noise is coming from the left front caliper then have a good look at the anti squeel shims, the outside pad went in with some difficulty.
It's a good thing I'm used to working with seized up old crap these days, cause there was plenty of it on both your and NoHachi's cars. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

This afternoon Doc and I are going to re-bleed again. It was quite a day yesterday. But I did enjoyed it! Thomas is uploading the pictures as we speak, i think. at first, we started with a starlet, it needed some new shocks
This guy would let me use his shed with a bridge in it and powertools. Very nice guy! Then it was time for me Getting rid of the old shit: When i got the strut away, i 'only' needed to remove the steering arms, which wouldn't get out of their position. At that time Ivan and Damir arrived, and they solved the problem (after a long time bashing on the bolts/steering arm etc. etc.) with a 'dutch screwdriver' 3 hours after i started, the AE struts where finally on: installing the brake bits on 2 sides: Spot the difference 'new' wheels (4x114,3 ) on the car: Checking: Looks nice, doesn't it? Ready! Then it was time to move on to Damir's KE25, he needed an other driveshaft (according to the MOT-man....., it was in perfect shape) and a new exhaust. The exhaust was quite hard to install, almost NO space to reach the nuts and bolts After all, it was a day (started around 10 am, finished around 9 pm ) of things which went well, broken bolts and reluctant old Toyota shit "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |
