STILL waiting for my exhaust to arrive so no new fabrication has taken place.
Paz and I got our dashboards flocked via Dori Matt on driftworks. I always used to be distracted by the huge amount of glare you would get in the sun on these nasty old 80's dash coverings so it seemed like a good time to be rid of it. Some of the prep work they do before the flocking process is also to clean up and cracks or blemishes - I had a hole in the top of my dash where the old aircon interior temp sensor used to go. That is now all filled in and the dash looks like new again. take a peep ![]() ![]() ![]() very very happy with how that has turned out. does anyone know if the digital clock surround is still available as a part from toyota ? I cracked mine when I was stripping the dash down (plastic was sooooo brittle) - would be nice to replace it and keep the clock otherwise I will have to make up a small panel to cover it over. The sourarounding is still available I think, at least a yearago when I ve asked it was.
Still is very very easy to find one @ ebay Its amazing the work done in your dash. How much would something like that cost if I may ask? danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the end ![]() |

hi nmwisima,
most rally preparation places will be able to perform the task of electro-static flocking - its very typical in rally and saloon racers. I should cost between £80-150 depending upon who you use. If you cant find people locally there are places in the uk that can do it if you can cope without your dash for a few weeks. Regards Ian. ![]() |

So - here is the nice carbon fibre back plate that I'll be using with the Jenvey ITBs I have for my F20 engine.
![]() Once I've cut the back for the trumpets and their mounting points those lovely toot tooters will sit inside like so ![]() Then a nice big ITG filter like this ![]() to go over the top and thats that job sorted. No master cylinder clearance issues any more ![]() Centre console - I need to make a new one of these whcih will extend down to the base of the new transmission tunnel so I have somewhere to mount gauges, kill switch, fuse boxes, extinguisher pull etc. We will make a mockup in light alu sheet so then we can just use that as a tool to lay up the carbon for that too. Also got a few of the bits my F20 motor was missing. Needed a new water pump and pully (missing from mine) and an Idler pully. Fortunately my friend is running a Davies Craig electric water pump on this s2000 powered westfield so the ones from his engine are now on mine. Also - ordered some the final parts of my front end from SUMO POWER on friday - the following should be with me in 5-6 weeks. ![]() Nagisa Auto adjustable lower arms ![]() Nagisa Auto inner steering knuckles ![]() Nagisa Auto raised drivers floor with heel stops ![]() right now I get all excited just thinking about driving it LOL. about 1cm or less - just has heel stops and lifts my feet up away from the heat that the exhaust manifold will generate (the primaries are long and the collector is right where your feet are
