Tire/Wheel fitment (yes, another one of these posts)
Greetings!

Currently, I've got some Datsun 14x6 wheels, with 195/60-14 Falken Azenis RT-215's on them. They're bald as can be, and were on the car when I bought it.

I like to do a lot of lapping days and autocross events, but this spring will mark the first season of my driving this car at these events.

Basically, I just scored an awesome deal on some Hoosier A3S05 tires that I'd l ike to use, but they're 225/50-14.

In my thinking, the 14x6 rims (I don' know the offset yet) that are currently on the car will be a little too narrow for the Hoosiers.

So, I'm thinking of some Konig Rewinds, in 14x7, with a -9mm offset. The tires fitting the wheels won't be a problem, but [color=green:47b4faee93]getting to the point of this thread, will these tires (225/50-14) actually fit?[/color:47b4faee93]

There are no inner fenders in the front, and I don't mind doing a little bodywork, since I want to get the car repainted anyway. Does anyone here have experience with tires this wide? I've seen people with 15x8's, and 16x8's, so I'm inclined to think that this won't be a problem, but I'm not 100% sure, which Is why I'm asking the question.

Thanks for your time!

225 should be on an 8inch room atleast, best suited to a 8.5inch

Ok, so if i can somehow manage to find 14x8's, I'll probably definitely need to do a little extra bodywork, right?

I've got some flares that came with the car when I bought it, that are supposedly 2-inch. I'm not really that familiar with bodywork yet, but since I need to fix rust on one of the rear fenders, I think this would be a good time to shape them to fit.

Anyone know a good line on 14x8's?

I went out last night to where I have the car stored, and brought back my overfenders / flares, just to see what sort of depth they're going to add.

They came with the car when I bought it, but hadn't been installed yet, he only just recieved them the day before I bought the car. Here's a picture, one front and one rear:

I think that with these installed, when I get the bodywork done, the 225's should fit, shouldn't they?

yeah you should be fine with them, but rember if ur running say a 14x8.5 with anything more then a +8 offset u will need to run spacer as the tires will touch the struts
