Very nice TE71!
It looks indeed a bit like the General Lee. Perhaps you should weld the doors shut as well. Max Havelaar Wrote:Those round headlight aren't stock, are they? And what's the difference between te71 and the te72. I only found the headlights are different. What I found as the difference between the TE71 and TE72 is that the TE71 has a 1.6 engine and the TE72 has a 1.8 engine: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages...llaprd.htm So, if TE71Corolla would put a 7AGE in his TE71 it would become a AE72. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

A little late I know...
but here is my KE70 converted to FULL AE86 running gear and a complete rebuild, with OER ITB's and aftermarket ECU. As it started out..... After alot of cash!! As for the TE71 vs KE70 the KE70 shares the same steering set up as an AE86, its has a 'Steering Rack' A TE71 uses a 'Steering box' and is not as good as a Steering rack like found in a AE86/KE. You could convert it with the right parts from a AE/KE Also, some early KE70 share set ups similar to a KP Starket like brakes, and suspension on the front. Mine did and I had to use KP Starlet adjustable camber tops and some other parts were different. 1980 Toyota Corolla KE70 DX 1983 Levin GTV |

I absolutely love the E7 series! Especially the TE71. These cars are extremly rare here in austria! I heard that there are only 3 registered TE71GT in germany. So i think there is only one left in austria
What i want to say is that everyone who own a E7 should be proud to have one and should take good care of it. If i own one i would not tune it, because in a few years a stock one could be worth alot! Anyway... the white driftcar rocks |
