Hey, where is my TA60 on that picture! You probably photoshopped it!

I'm working on brakes for mine at the moment.
Looks as though I'm gonna use pretty much the entire late model SW20 setup. 275 x 30mm front rotors, and twinpot calipers to suit 281 x 22mm rear rotors, single pot + disc handbrake for rear. (might go for smaller diameter rear disc) The disc operated handbrake is effing useless, it couldnt stop my car from rolling off the curvature of the earth. But meh, it'll be good enough to make my car road worthy, so it'll have to do. I've raced with this setup on my SW20, on a track that has a big stop from 190ish kph each lap and never had a single hint of fading, so it should be all good for this car. Only thing with this, is that I wont be able to run 14" wheels at all. If I run the early SW20 setup then I could fit 14s, 258 x 25 mm front rotors and 263 x 16mm rear rotors, and calipers to suit.... But I'd rather have the bigger brakes! A few people have been telling me that the standard AA63 10" disc front end brake setup will be good enough, which is probably true, but I'm a sucker for punishment. |

first time poster long time reader.
Hey glenn and rome. Rome, ive just finished a 280x26mm rotor and 300zx caliper conversion on my aa63, and my 14x7 0 offset works fit. Its the caliper, not the rotor, thats the problem. Was easy as, come see if you wan. or ill be out and about in a month or so once i got new cert. yep, im eating my words again, but i got sick of loosing brakes at puke. |

Youve already seen it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dvyg7GZd1M Toyotaloyal's old carina but with a little bit of panel and paint here and there, diff fixed, tuned, bigger brakes, 2 inches lower, rust all removed, approved seats installed, deep dish wheels, spacers, suspension re-created, new turbo, new cooling system etc. Basically just tidied up what he had built. Will get pics once i get it paneled and painted again for the second time. I just bought another carina too for $150 NZD. STOKED! but it was rusty so wrecked it. |

I have a 2t engine in my carina and was wondering would this take the 4age head?? If so is there much work to converting it?
Also is there much work to landing in a complete 4age engine into the carinas? What needs to be done? |

Dun think u will able to fit the 4a head into the 2T block cause its not from the same series and will not fit. A full 4age transplant will be much easier and straight foward
