How much does it cost for the cross member? It looks like a very well built piece.

hm, this is a common solution for the f20c swap, but is it strong enough?

I am actually in the midst of the same project on a left hand drive version.
I am doing most of the work along with a friend of mine who will do all the welding.

My car will be my daily driver so I am not going as hardcore as you or some of the people who do these swaps are. (I'm pretty young and poor too).
My subframe is already welded and good to go, I am making some 1cm spacers because my cusco mounts are smaller than the stock ones and I am using the JSP mounting kit which was designed for the stock mounts.

I am not lowering the subframe though.
I have cut the tranny tunnel and dropped the engine in for a test fit, everything looks like it will work, but I'll be 100% sure once I have those spacers made and in.

Next thing on my list is to take the motor back out and remove the seam sealer so I can stitch weld the engine bay and paint it black.

How did you removed the seam sealer???
I think I'll make a thread like this once I am done showing my progress.

Square, the seam sealer is removed using a drill and a wire wheel, that gets most of it out then its a case of using a sharp pointed object to get in the nook & cranny's. You'll know if there is still some there as it wont weld Big Grin

Miguel, thanks Big Grin
