megasquirt wiring (stock distributor)

having alot of trouble with it, just finished wiring it up but i've no spark from the coil can anyone tell me how they wired theirs??
(theres a red, blue, an a white wire split in 2 inside the distrubutor an a brown wire (pin 36) from the ms to go to the ignition coil)

I assume your driving the coil directly. If so, the output, pin 36 goes directly to coil.

I've seen two methods of dissy to MS depending on if you've got ESA or VAST type dissy.

ESA - I've seen signal from dissy to stock ignitor to MS. The stock ignitor conditions the signal to a square wave.

VAST - 2 opposing teeth ground off the NE signal wheel and a 12-1 decoder used.

I don't see that there should be signal difference between the VAST NE and ESA NE, so I'm going to try the grind and go on mine as I'd rather ditch the stock ignitor. There are some bits on msefi.com and write ups in the megamanual links.

I used this as a basis for mine (including the modifications to ignition input and output), and it works fine. For reference my distributor is the version with 4 tooths, so not sure what you need to do if you have the 24 tooth setup.

what type of distributor do you have? The solutions you've used apply only to the VAST distributor.

If you take the cap off, does the top sensor wheel have 24 teeth or 4 teeth. If it's got 4 teeth then it should work.
