Little something i started working on this evening.
I'm not using these vents on my dashboard, so i decided to fill them with something more usefull. I like the "old" design of VDO gauges, they look similar to ae86 dashboard, also with green glowing light. Hope to finish electric part tommorow. Senders not yet connected. Any idea where is the best place to install oil pressure and oil temp. senders? Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |

You already have an oil presurre sender, I dont think it will work if you split the signal wire. If you have a new pressure sender you could take off the original one, place a t-piece on it and install the extra pressure sender on that.
Oil temps should always be measured in the oil pan. I installed my oiltemp sensor in the drain plug, but that is a slightly risky place to put it. Best solution is to weld an extra bit of metal to the pan, drill it and tap it for the correct thread. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Hey Zax,
You have been busy !!!. how much trimming was required after you'd removed the spinning air vents ? I guess they are 52mm gauges yes ? Regards Ian. |

Im about to install a oil-temp gauge myself. Im planning to mount the sender, in the outtake to the oil cooler, in a T-piece.
