How much performance gain from headers ??
I was planning on getting lowering mounts at some point. Didn't know the trd ones were also lowering. But would it be enough? They shouldn't be lowering the engine for more than 1cm, right? That would only give me the clearance required if the header fitted was just touching the floor...

Depending on how much tube length you have to play with, and how
many tubes you have to bend, it may be possible to do it by heating. Basically, the technique involves heating up a spot with a gas torch until it is dull red, and then quenching it with water. The tube will bend (shrink) a little at that spot. By repeating the process several times on the same side of the tube, the tube will begin to bend in that direction. Obviously, the further away you can make the bend from the spot that is touching, the easier it will be to gain clearance. The heat will spoil your bling header pipe, but after a while the whole pipe will go brown anyway Cheers... jondee86 |

Most European hachis didn't come with catalytic converter, so most of them don't have the lambda and/or oxygen sensor either.
