T50 G/box tightening torque question.
I have found the info in the official Toyota 'Repair Manual for Chassis & Body' (Corolla FR Sprinter) slightly confusing. The publication ref is 36217E. Page M-22 describes refitting of the gearbox. It states that the top two bolts are torqued to 53 lbs-ft. That's fine 'cos they are marked with two 'protruding lines' (with washer) and are thus 6T/M12, which matches with the 'standard' torque range settings on page B-2. However, it goes on (in section M-22 part 3.) to state that the rest of the bolts (including the supplementary braces) are set to 27 lbs-ft. I don't get this; the right and left bolts (holding the T50 to the 4AGE block directly) are similarly marked as per the top two. Surely they should also be 53 lbs-ft? Can anyone confirm what I say. Apologies fo being so fussy but I am an Aerospace Engineer and suffer from doing things accurately - and I don't want bolts to work loose if I can help it....

Thanks in advance.
