I don't believe that really. Its just killing the community. The number of junkyard cars is getting smaller, but the number of ones driving around isn't exactly skyrocketing either. Its just a cheap and easy way of squeezing money out of fellow enthusiasts and making sure it takes a lot longer for them to finish their car. Last time I checked, not a lot of millionaires decided to start fixing up 30 year old corolla's.
Then again...those parts stay for sale forever, so the whole thing turns out pretty dumb. I'm just glad that I can still buy relatively cheap new part over here and try to keep the number of US parts to a minimum. But I am glad to see more KE's around here..might have to give my little topic a kick to see how many more are lurking. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
