The fuel readout issue is fairly common, I have the same issue and know of many people who have mentioned it before. I don't believe it's cause for concern and doubt the loss of power is related since I never used to suffer anything like it, just keep a close eye on your fuel light.
As for the loss of power itself, it could potentially be due to an electrical issue, such as a bad ground, short circuit or a bad connection on the distributor. Have the engine running and try wriggling a few wires to see if there is a change in revs. Something else it could be (and is probably more likely) is a vacuum leak. Check the vacuum lines for cracks and like the electrical cables, move them around to see if anything changes. |
