it was a debate about using the s13 control arm. during breakdown on the project. its more time consuming on cutting and welding the ae86 control arm. transfered to s13 ball joint than using a techno toy tuning block or fabbed out an aluminum block to use. by going to this swap, i can use the ae86 tie rod end. the bottom mount bolts from the ae86 for the shocks transfered right in the s13 spindle. the reason why about the block was to bring out the s13 spindle out about .5 of an inch since the brake shield is hitting the control arm end. by denting in the brake shield you dont need to use the block. the holes are the same. the tread that i used is the same as the ae86 in the shock mount bolt. s13 full tap shocks can be use on this project too for another option. but im using subaru legacy. its 1 inch shorter than the s13. more play for the dampening travel. so the spring not compressed as much.
