My ongoing AE86 road/rally/project car

Seeing as though a lot of people have posted pictures of jobs they've done to their cars, I though I'd jump on the bandwagon ....

I found a pair of doors and a near-side wing on eBay about a month ago. The near-side door was eating itself away (rust) quite nicely along the bottom, and the wing wasn't too great either.

Luckily the items from eBay were silver, unfortunately they haven't got the black on the bottom half. I can live with having an odd coloured car until the summer, hey maybe I'll get noticed a bit more

So, a picture tells a thousand words, wing off (snapping two bolts inthe process), door off, treat the rust (I'm buying shares in Jenolite! It works wonders), paint, new door on, new wing on.

The hole that I found/made worse at the front of the sill, now plated with lots sealant around the outside, and treated with Jenolite


Treat rust with Jenolite, spray with two coats of grey primer, then two coats of the closest silver I could find


Job done, respray planned during the summer when I can afford it!
