Looks to me that recipe for 200hp 4AGE is well known.
Put some wild cams, bump up CR, let it breathe freely with ITB's and open exhaust... sounds easy for the head. Put some forged pistons, maybe conrods, use ARP all the way and it might be enough. What about accesories ? What else does that 4AGE need to live with that power and pressures: - can stock oil and water pump be used - go dry sump - bigger oil cooler or even oil accumulator - which oil filter - radiator - how often you need to change oil - how long can this engine run before you need to open it for inspection - .... Many times I've seen this, but only few times someone mentioned these extras that 4AGE needs to survive months or years of 8000+ rpm track use. |
