hence why I cherry picked the good pieces of each generation and put them together for my own engine build.
The 20V in my opinion is only a valid option in very specific circumstances.
Considering the fact you already have 16V parts, stick to them and spend the money you save because of that on more useful stuff than a 20V which MIGHT be in good condition.

If you spend $5500 to swap in a BT I can see why you would be dissapionted! It can be done for a lot less

I spend €2k including new bearings, gaskets, ECU ect. and for that kind of money its not easy to beat. For that kind of money you could rebuild a 16V but you would still have to get cams / ITBs / ECU... Unless you have a good strong running engine, then the mild build 16V is cheaper

Also my friends and I found that the stock exhaust would only flow ~150 hp (same dyno). I went 20V+ECU, one went build 16V+cams+ITBs+ECU and one went 7AGE+cams+ECU (151, 150, 152 hp). 7AGE got a custom 2" system and went up to 159 Tourqe wise the 20V was quite a bit better than 16V but both displayed the T50 problems: 3rd to 4th ratios.

I am not saying one is better than the other just that some of what you might find on the web might a little biased.
