Exactly what I was thinking, I got some really powerful stuff to take care of that sludge so that and getting all the instruments wired up is main priority right now!

So this means that probably the Oil pressure gauge is correctly connected (Since it does move when starting the car, but drops down because of probably sludged oil pressure sender), at least thats whats best to assume right now.
I have no intentions of opening up anything on the engine yet (I have no experience and am not about to start dinking around with that yet)

I`m still worried that the Tacho is not receiving a signal despite being connected to the instructed pin @ the firewall connector on the engine harness, maybe black-orange is not the correct wire?
The engine ignition system is OEM, bar that the distributor cap has been moved to the front, so there should be no need to change out the resistors and capacitor in the tachometer?
I couldnt find any other black wires at the instrument cluster, except the instrument light wires (Which are black+brown dots)
