Wheel Bearing Temperature
I've re-packed my front wheel bearings and tightened as per the 86 manual, including reading in various forums on the technique to getting them just right.
I've done about 200kms on them at varying speeds and am concerned that the LHS gets slightly hotter than the right. This was based on feeling the temperature of the dust cap with my hand then with a temperature gun. There is only really about 5 degrees Celcius difference between each side (29C RHS vs 34C LHS). Is this something to be concerned about? Or is this well within the normal range? Cheers Simon http://www.super86.co.nz |
