Did you fix both master and slave cylinder?
After a little bit of thinking I had a theory: Master cylinder's o-rings (mounted to a piston) are made of rubber. When the rubber is worn or old (and not so soft any more), the rubbers softness is bad at low temperatures. So the rubber diameter decreases (at low temperatures) and the compression is lower. When the clutch pedal is pressed, the oil leaks across the rubber seals. The oil is pushed in the wrong compartment, so I see the leakage. When the rubber seals became warmer, they expand and the oil is pushed without leakage. I definitly have to renew the clutch master cylinder. I hope the Nipparts reparation kit fits ok (the part number J2712001 5/8 coresponds to Toyota 04311-12020) Regards Andrej |
