You can always read my project thread
Unfortunatelly I havent installed it myself but I can tell you some things: 1) Most important is to fina a late spec GZE with map sensor. Its not only the -theoritically- produced 170 ps, its the semi forged pistons and internals!! 2) Instalation is quite easy -at least easier than the 20V. 3) My guess is that you should go for the gze ECU. The ECU goes with the engine, not with the car... If you do that you will have to custom made the wiring wghich is quite a trouble. 4) I strongly suggest that you find someone to do the transplant, that has DONE IT AGAIN IN THE PAST. 5) With the map sensored engine expect real 130 ps @ your rear wheels. ONLY! 6) Fuel consumption will go up, but i guess you know that... 7) Compressor is engaged with a hydraulic clutch, which is quite good thing. You can press the gas pedal progressively and compressor will stay off untill even 4.900 rpm! gze has good torque between idle to 2.500 rpm, very good from there till 4.500, but pretty much dies from there... 9) You can get really easy PS, by closing the stock blow-off valve and installing a new crankshaft pulley! 10) You will defo need a new clutch kit 11) You will defo need a new fuel pump. Stock age pump is 125 litres per hour, you will need to find something around 190 lph. If you have money to spent, go for a Walbro HiPressure 250 lph. Pretty good and less expensive solutions are pumps from: EVO, WRX, STi, MK2 Supra, MK2+MK3 RX-7's. 12) You can use the stock gze intercooler, but defo go for a front mount instalation. Stock i/c has both in/out at the same side. Install it so in/out is at the left side -as you look the car. This way you ll have smaller lenght piping and you ll be far away from the hot exhaust manifold. 13) You can use larger i/c's if you want by CelicaSupra or Mitsubishi Evo, but you ll have more lag. 14) It's a good idea to install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Set him at 2,5 bar at idle. Dont worry about injectors. If they are clean they deliver 365 cc of fuel per minute each, so they re good for up to 400 ps. Thats all that come to my mind right now. Any questions feel free to ask  danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the endhttp://www.jdmbits.com |
